He has no friends in the state or national Republican establishment and probably not at the state capital, so he will have to rely his own resources, and the support of conservatives not part of Conservatism, Incorporated, to stage the challenge. The Democrats could have well pulled off voter fraud in Birmingham, Montgomery, and the Black Belt counties to obtain the margin of victory. However, challenging the count will take a lot of money and a thick hide to ignore the inevitable cries of racism.
