“Moore was not going to win. I would have like to see him win just to spite the establishment GOP but Moore said entirely too much stupid stuff and made way too many rookie mistakes to win an election.”
Moore had already won several state wide elections before, Moore could easily have won if the GOP establishment like Mitch, Mitt, and even Ted Cruz hadn’t sided against him.
Heck it was so close he could have won if only Fox News had’t released such a fraudulent poll 1 day before showing a hopeless 10 point gap, to Alabama’s republican voter base.
Moore had zero appeal beyond the unctuous religios. People outside that group only voted for him because he wasn’t a Dem. I would have been shocked if he had won even with the party behind him.
