There was enough smoke to warrant a fire. And Moore’s denials were so half hearted and contradictory that the “victims” were given even more credibility. Right here on FreeRepublic I heard everything from “it never happened”, to “so what, it was 30 years ago”, to “whats the big deal; he didn’t do anything illegal”.
Sorry, but if you’re going to come off as beacon of morality, its best not to have a background of perving over teenage girls.
After Moore’s lame explanation of the charges to Hannity, right after they broke, I predicted a loss by him here on FR. I was called names etc by fellow FReepers. I am not happy to be correct but Moore blew it and he was a bad candidate from the get go. The screw Turtle crowd was a big factor in this and led to Moore being the candidate.
What is so bad about perving on teenage girls. We let guys fondle other guys - that is far worse in my books.
I heard the Hannity interview as it happened, and Moore was definitely evasive when a firm answer would have stopped so much of this furor.
Freepers shouldnt treat those of us who havent been fans of Moore as the enemy. Brooks would have been a better choice, but McConnell didnt want him and made certain he lost (and proved what a worm McConnell is).. Bannon said earlier this week that he and the Breitbart people had wanted Brooks. People are using this to stop Breitbart also.
