I am a female and I think often that women’s suffrage was a big mistake, too.
Why? Shouldn’t women be equal to males in voting?
I have sometimes asked people, “Which sex is more in-touch with their emotions?” “Which sex gives more emphasis to emotions?” “So which sex is more influenced by their emotions?”
There is a reason that the God of the Bible made men to be the leaders of the Church and of families. Although we men are sometimes too hard-headed, rational decisions must start by having a baseline determined by objective truth and justice. Later, it will probably need to get input from the compassionate side to allow for differences in individual cases. I think that maybe God knew what He was doing when He made men to be the head of the church and family.
Believe me. I hate feeling that way cause in general I strongly support universal suffrage. But dang how many times has the so called women’s vote meant disaster for principles both fiscally and morally sound? I admit in days of yore when the female libido did not seem to govern women’s public policy decisions to such an extent the women’s vote was a positive thing. But now, when it is all about feeeelings and their hooha rights. I despair of women and ballots.
I’m sure thinking it would be a really good idea that you should have to be a property owner to vote... and a tax PAYER. I don’t think it unreasonable to have a “horse in the race”, so to speak. Something at stake... besides ongoing reliance on government handouts.
