Jones didn’t get any more votes than Session’s opponent. Moore didn’t get asses to the voting booth. A lot of republicans and conservatives stayed home.
Because they're oh sure "pure", that's what matters to them. Well, enjoy your new Democratic Senator, scumbags.
At some point people on our side have to decide if political purity is more important than saving the future of the country. Adding more Democrats to Congress is like throwing more gasoline on an already out of control fire.
I don’t give a s—t what Moore did, do I like the guy? Hell, no.
Do my feelings about Moore matter in the big scheme of things? Hell, no.
What matters is his victory blocks a Democrat from getting that seat. That’s all that matters. If he does nothing but simply votes for Trump’s SCOTUS picks, it would have been worth it. But these “principled Conservatives” in Alabama who stayed home just don’t get it.
The old ways aren’t coming back.
The Republicans will be toast and you will have to learn to live under 1 party rule (Socialist/Marxist).
Trump may or may not be a one termer...but we do need to lower our expectations of his presidency somewhat. He won’t get his immigration policies - like the Wall - through Congress. To some extent, while he is president, the borders won’t be all the way open, but once he is gone the open borders and amnesties return with a vengeance. I think he will do well on the economy and that might get him a second term.
The culture war certainly looks to be losing and I expect the climate change hoax won’t have the stake truly driven through its heart. I think that MAGA may need to become Make America No Worse. The Swamp is not going to be drained...if it doesn’t happen in Alabama, it ain’t happening anywhere.
Heard a few minutes ago that Mitt the Morman got more evangelical votes than Moore. Talk about being lazy and fickle. I never thought I’d live to see the day that evagelicals would vote for a liberal or sit on their asses, not vote, and send a pro abortion far left liberal to Washington to represent them. But they did it. I know there’s liberal Catholics, but didn’t think I would ever see a liberal pro abortion evangelical. They exist and Alabama proves it. I still think there was massive voter fraud, but republicans never do anything about it, so democrats keep “winning” elections.
I’m done with the Republican Party. Trump will never change anything in Washington as long as McConnell and Ryan run the show. And never forget Fox News had a lot to do with Moore losing. They were in the tank for Jones from day one, starting with Hannity grilling Moore and basically telling him he didn’t believe him. To hell with Hannity and to hell with Fox News. The only one who didn’t rake Moore over the coals was Dobbs,

Be nice if somebody could’ve gotten some dirt on Jones. And I’d be willing to bet there is dirt out there, if someone was willing to look for it.
This same group did this before in other elections. It’s not surprising and deep down I knew the conservative Christians would cost Moore this election because of the allegations against him. If it were just he groped an of age female or made a crude pass at an of age female years ago, I don’t think it would matter, but I think the evangelicals were bothered by the under age stuff.
