I mean, many factors come into play. If you go far enough back in human history, no holds were barred. Rape was probably a fact of life. The strongest males took what they wanted. Eventually, as we became civilized, lines were drawn. Rape was forbidden. Monogamy was instituted. We realized that cunning older men could beguile infatuated young girls, so limits were placed on that. But it cannot be denied that sexually aggressive males were usually more successful than more passive males, when it came to women. I agree with you about women not shooting straight. All things being equal, the women preferred the more sexually aggressive men.
Of course, the trappings of civilization have severely complicated things. We are not just a bunch of cavemen swinging on vines in the jungle. Situations, context, make sexual aggression less black and white. Marriage, employer/employee, position of power. These kinds of things. Where is the line? If a married man makes a pass at a young lady, how do we view that? I mean, in this elevator situation (if we take it at face value), Donald Trump made a pass at someone's wife. Contrast that to a married President exposing himself to a young intern. Neither would be included in a case for sainthood, but I can't help but feel that one is merely crude while the other is serious harassment. Both cases lie on the continuum of sexual aggression. But what is confusing is that the line seems to move rather freely depending on your politics.
