My local Pub in NYC suburbia is very “Sox.” I am a pathetic, but loyal Mets fan. I go to the Pub in spite of its loyaly, not because of it. At least we are all Irish.

Look to Jesus for perfection. Expecting perfection from a man will only lead to disappointment. We all have the ability to change our mind, even Donald Trump.
I don’t think Trump was elected because he was a nice guy, if so we could have had President Rand Paul.
He was elected because the nation was in a very tought spot after eight years of more or less subversive revolution and the not-so-great period before that, and he was given a mandate to drag the nation out of that mess and put it on a better course.
We all know that it takes a tough guy with a certain amount of swagger to do this. So I think the rather aggressive approach to various social relationships, perhaps not what you or I might do, is understandable. At this point, I would take Attila the Hun over almost any liberal. Things are that bad.
But if this is just an esoteric question, “is that any way to speak to a woman you don’t know?” then probably the answer is no. However, the conduct of Democrats in office has been much worse on many levels. Where’s the outrage about that?

As a contrarian, being a Mets fan is easy. I will admit, however, that I professed my earliest “wait to next year,” shortly after the All-Star break. I usually wait until mid-August.
And since they are National league, I can like them without being disloyal to my own American league team! :-)
