Gutfield made an argument that the long term pain Republicans will feel defending Moore will outweigh losing a senate seat, possibly temporarily.
He may be right, but I don’t thinks so.
If Moore loses MSM will tout a Trump defeat.
If Moore wins, MSM resume the victim showcase and shop for prominent Republicans to call for Moore’s resignation. Franken would definitely be out.
But the Republican Party is in decline. They can never win another national election unless they become more Trumplike. So their calling for Moore’s resignation has been weakened.
Trump will be vindicated again.
