It is dishonest, it’s all about manipulating the average of polls (which is in itself mathematically dishonest, but that doesn’t stop them either). If the average makes it appear to be close, that will mean more eyes watching their breathless return shows tomorrow and perhaps they’ll stick around a little longer watching, driving up ratings and making advertisers a little happier. They need to create an event and keep it going as long as possible before the jig is up. They will drop this poll down the memory hole and you’ll never hear about it again. No recriminations for inaccuracies. The pollster did their [real] job...they might even get a bonus from the network. They don’t want accuracy, they want eyes watching their programs tomorrow.
That just might backfire. They are making CNBC more watchable. They have more business news lately.
The real crime here, is that the media is destroying the last remaining bits of its trust. The American public has had it.
The MSM lies in a pool of it’s own urine, afraid of what the public must think of them, and making it worse day by day, while trashing the public for seeing them for exactly who they are.
