Fox News Poll: Enthused Democrats give Jones lead over Moore in Alabama
Fox News ^ | December 11,2017 | Dana Blanton

Democrat Doug Jones holds a 10-point lead over Republican Roy Moore among likely voters in deep red Alabama.

Greater party loyalty plus higher interest in the election among Democrats combined with more enthusiasm among Jones supporters gives him the advantage in the race to fill the U.S. Senate seat previously held by U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

That’s according to a Fox News Poll of Alabama voters conducted Thursday through Sunday using traditional polling techniques, including a list-based probability sample with both landlines and cellphones.

Jones receives 50 percent to Moore’s 40 percent, with 1-in-10 undecided (8 percent) or supporting another candidate (2 percent) -- which could make a difference Tuesday. That’s even truer with such an unconventional election with unconventional candidates.

Fox News is a propaganda organ for the Cheap Labor Express, same as the Wall Street Journal.
Everything they do is to protect the demographic changes they have made to the country against the will of the citizens.
They have spent decades convincing US that flooding the country with foreigners was desirable and inevitable and surrendering the rule of law is the only solution to the illegal alien inundation.

You are right in your assessment. This Fox poll is an outlier with questionable sampling demographics.

It wouldn’t surprise me either. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Moore lose honestly. I also wouldn’t be shocked to see him win. If he loses, prophet Trump was right when he said Strange would win but Moore would have a hard time at the rally.

Two Polls, two different results..........

On Monday morning, Emerson released its latest poll in the Alabama Senate special election,
showing Republican Roy Moore ahead by 9 percentage points. That’s disappointing news
if you’re supporting Democrat Doug Jones, but you could takecomfort in a Fox News poll also
released Monday morning, this one projecting Jones to win by 10.

People lied to the pollster...I do not want him thinking I’m voting for Moore..

Similar to the Trump polls..

Moore can loose if the Democrats come out in unusually large numbers

I usually stay off FR, but this is ridiculous. Richard Baris of PPD (who has not polled AL) has been talking with Emerson, one of the more accurate pollsters. They have Moore at 7 but all the indicators are that his lead is . . .

WIDENING as we get closer to election day.

I have Moore by 10, but may have to bump that up.

Yea. I listened to an interview with him and it’s clear to me they are mostly scared of all the talk about God. That will, in their opinion, make the GOP seem outdated. I think more than anything they are afraid of him because he wears his religion on his sleeve openly. He calls out “LBGT” he calls out abortion in plain language. That was, to me at least, very clearly the reason why they don’t like him.

If he loses, you will never hear another peep out of any of the folks who claimed he harassed, or assaulted them. They have no avenue in criminal law, they have no chance in civil law. Their only avenue is in the ethics committee process if he is elected.

I'm agnostic on Moore, but then again I do not live in Alabama.

I have to think that his opposition looked at him and focus group tested themes and issues and found that the most potent attack on his support was the insinuation of exactly this kind of alleged behavior. So, that is how they proceeded. The main problem I have is that none of the women came forward when it was Roy Moore running in prior elections, or even in the primary election for this Senate seat. They waited until they were within the window prior to the election when ballots could not be changed, and then coordinated with the hostile media, and viola, here you are.

If this works, I hope the lesson that the GOP learns is - this is the level of attacks which need to be placed against Democratic Party Senate and House candidates in the 2018 elections. Of course, the specifics will differ, but the point it - examine the support your opponent has, decompose it into constituencies and then find the critical elements which, if undercut, destroy voter support. Total scorched earth, take no prisoners campaigning.

Clearly, there needs to be a gut check of any current GOP candidates to assess vulnerability on the harassment issue, because Democrats will play that like a violin in the fall. We don't need to find out that someone is vulnerable 40 days out from the election.

Remember that Alabamans are being told that if they vote for Moore, they are pro-pedophilia!!! So why in the world would they tell pollsters that they are voting for Moore?

He worships God, not government. This means he won’t sell his soul for political advantage or go-along-to-get-along ..... i.e. politicians who weasel along with I’m pro-life but won’t vote to defund PP, think marriage is between a man & a woman , but love is love no matter who it is so they will fund/go along with LGBT causes, etc. He’s got the “moral high ground” which is in stark contrast to the Dems and a lot of the Repubs, so he’s big trouble all the way around - basically his position calls out, at a minimum, the hypocritical among the Congress Critters. Never mind that he reflects the values & will of those voting for him in AL (and supporters around the country).

Pretty bad if you’re right because it’s Fox.

The Fox News poll was one of the most inaccurate and biased in the last election cycle.

I cannot see Alabama electing a Democrat baby killer in a statewide election.

I don’t believe this poll.
