LOVELY!
I was told that my yard in Mississippi got 6 inches.
Don’t know how long it remained.

I tell ya, yesterday was weird here in Delaware. We’re not Alabama or Mississippi but we are by the seashore with mildly temperate weather.

First, bring Jeep home Friday from errand, had no idea it was even going to snow. Round these parts they call for snow the radio guys are screaming at us to get bread and milk. The weather guys are with warning or watching.

My garage door is broke, someday I’ll explain. But I got to open and close it manually so now I only put the Jeep inside when there’s a snow warning.

And I knew nothing about some snow storm about to hit Delaware big time.

Later that night I do realize it is snowing bejeesus and there’s the Jeep sitting out in it all and I wasn’t about to go out in the freeze to put it away.

Next morn-Saturday, I get up and damn if five inches aren’t laying on my deck. And the Jeep! I am so ashamed.

But I figured hey, five inches of snow....I got this. I took a broom and cleaned off my back deck, the Jeep, the sidewalk and like that....spiffy.

About an hour later I look out and there’s stuff coming out of the sky. I figure it’s loose snow blowing off of the branches so I go on about my business.

I look out about an hour later and damn, another couple of inches of snow laying on the ground.

I could have put the Jeep in the garage in that time but again, not fighting sleet and snow. Took broom, cleaned off Jeep and deck again. Ramp off of deck for the dogs.

Around 7pm last night, IT WAS DOING EVERY DAMN THING OUT THERE! It was snowing, and sleeting and raining.

This morning folks, took me about an hour to get that Jeep out of the snow block. None of the windows would open, the roof covered with rock hard snow that I could not pry off with a crow bar.

All told he got almost eight inches of snow, not a blizzard by any means, but on 12/10 in a temperate climate? Those Jeep windows would not budge but I sat in it with heat on, told it how sorry I was, and cursed the gods who wrought this upon us.

And freaking Wilmington, Delaware got nary a single drop of snow!

Anyway, I got so freaked out I decided I had to go somewhere today. I wanted to make sure the Jeep still ran. I noted in my church bulletin that confessions today, plenty of priests on hand.

Well I been wanting to go to confession cause I either do it during Advent and Lent.

So now most of the snow is gone, big meltdown.

Jeep ran just fine and priest forgave all my sins.

Penace-one our Father and one hail Mary. I couldn’t have been too bad.
