Well, we used 155mm howitzers as an anti-sniper weapon in Aachen...so a TOW wouldn’t be too out of place as a tactic.
My old man was a BAR gunner during WWII in the ETO. He told me they used the BAR to “snipe” unwary Germans who believed they were out of first round range. It involved a spotter with some good quality German binoculars and the shooter would aim low and let off a burst on the faster rate of fire available on the BAR. They got consistent hits.
Most of the targets were out of their holes to relieve themselves... Ain’t war grand?
