I got about an inch, maybe two in places in Southern Alabama. Suns out now and shining hard, it will all be gone by noon.

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either satire or opinion. Or both.)

Piedmont & Foothills of western North Carolina got about 4” yesterday & last night, 2” more expected this morning. The mountains got a lot more.
The ground is warm and the air temp is 32 degrees, so it won’t be here long.

Nothing south of Dallas but a few scattered snowflakes, but my friends in Victoria kept texting pictures of this white stuff coming down.
School was delayed two hours, and a few snowmen were built up.

Those pesky Soviets! They’re still around?
Makes sense I guess. Time said we couldn’t defeat them.
To: ROCKLOBSTER
Maybe, but you don’t experience our Augusts, so be happy!

It was a weird weather map that showed snow from Tamaulipas, Mexico up the Gulf coast of Texas, through Louisiana. Don’t see that too often.
To: ohioman
I guess if “every so often” is your definition of “unusual”.

I'm in NC near the VA border, we got a little over 5" of heavy wet snow that stuck on everything, bent softwood trees over, power has flickered several times. Still snowing lightly.

Just enough to cover the cigarette butts and trash along the side of the road.
