The only important stat is the unjustified murder rate. Deaths and homicides are not the same. Guns may indeed increase the number of deaths and much of that is from the increase in suicides and justified homicides. But the unjustified murder rate drops dramatically.

1. Approximately 60% of all bank robberies are “cleared” with at least one arrest.
2. Bank robbery is a federal crime so, conditional on being convicted, a bank robber will do “hard” time in federal prison where there is no parole.
