All very well to fantasize over possibilities - but in the present circumstance the right procedure would be to switch over a lawyer elsewhere in the cabinet - who has been confirmed by the Senate and therefore could take over instantly without so much as a by your leave to Congress - rather than putting in the right nominee who would be blocked by the GOPe in cahoots with the Senate Democrats.
