Ex-Mueller team member's role in Clinton email probe under review
FoxNews ^ | James Rosen

Posted on 12/02/2017 10:35:38 PM PST by EliRoom8

EXCLUSIVE – Two senior Justice Department officials have confirmed to Fox News that the department's Office of Inspector General is reviewing the role played in the Hillary Clinton email investigation by Peter Strzok, a former deputy director for counterintelligence at the FBI who was removed from the staff of Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III earlier this year, after Mueller learned that Strzok had exchanged anti-Trump texts with a colleague. A source close to the matter said the OIG probe, which will examine Strzok's roles in a number of other politically sensitive cases, should be completed by "very early next year."

The task will be exceedingly complex, given Strzok's consequential portfolio. He participated in the FBI's fateful interview with Hillary Clinton on July 2, 2016 – just days before then-FBI Director James Comey announced he was declining to recommend prosecution of Mrs. Clinton in connection with her use, as secretary of state, of a private email server.

As deputy FBI director for counterintelligence, Strzok also enjoyed liaison with various agencies in the intelligence community, including the CIA, then led by Director John Brennan.

House investigators told Fox News they have long regarded Strzok as a key figure in the chain of events when the bureau, in 2016, received the infamous anti-Trump "dossier" and launched a counterintelligence investigation into Russian meddling in the election that ultimately came to encompass FISA surveillance of a Trump campaign associate.

I agree 100%.

This is the very first thing I thought of. Total bias, which reaches back.

Very good point.

Who’s doing the “review”, exactly?

The Clinton crime family has a lot of influence.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif — one of the tigers in the House. A good man. Also, Ryan has been so pissed a got a month’s jump on Nunes and so both are after this.

Despite our reservations on Ryan I don’t think he wants to be made to look like someone’s punk and resents the run around that the FBI and DOJ is doing. Especially now that Rosen/FOXNews are throwing light on it.

That's a good question. Sessions is recused on the matter. Rod Rosenstein is Deep State.

Ahh, suddenly one of Mr. Trump’s tweets this evening begins to make more sense. He keeps on tying his present problem to Hillary getting off scot-free. I wonder if he was telegraphing the next move by DOJ.

FBI = lawyers fraternity

Lawyers = Clinton Crime Family

Clinton = Bias, or Else....

As for the Justice Dept., Rubenstein is running it and Sessions as well.

Sessions is running nothing but the Communications office, let out on occasion to make appearances but serving as Rubenstein’s little parrot.

Sessions is so deeply neutered it must be painful to sit.
Embarrassing.

The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is a statutorily created independent entity whose mission is to detect and deter waste, fraud, abuse, and misconduct in DOJ programs and personnel...

That’s the good news. Now for the bad news...

[I.G.] Michael E. Horowitz was confirmed as Inspector General for the Department of Justice (DOJ) by the U.S. Senate on March 29, 2012, and sworn in as the fourth confirmed Inspector General on April 16, 2012. [note the dates]

Nunes for Attorney General. A guy like Nunes, that has been burned crisp and played for a dollop of ice cream, by both Sessions at Justice and Wray at FBI, might just go in there and cramp their style.

I think we have learned that no one can be fired in DC, so at least Nunes might be pizzed enough to put these intransigents in the basement, cleaning paper clips and door knobs.

Another permanent embed, an Obama administration pick and a hold over for retirement. Isn’t it getting to the point that we deserve what we’re getting? No one really seems to care.

Jeff Sessions is a disgrace.

If you believe they’re going to reveal the Truth behind the Dossier and Hillary’s royal treatment, then you are a fool.

Remember, they trusted Hillary’s people to destroy their own devices with Classified info on them. No one can cite another case where that has been allowed.

Isn’t being anti-Trump a pre-req for getting on that investigative team?

There is a distinction here. Most of those on Muellar’s Team are Clintonista. However, this guy took it a step further and was continuing with anti-Trump ramps with one of the females he was having some extra-marital “scoring” with. The woman is a lawyer in the DoJ/FBI as well. No word yet on the consequences she’s likely to face.

After it was leaked to Nunez that this guy, Peter Strzok, a deputy director was pulling this sh!t he wanted the details. The FBI stonewalled for more than a month. Now people are becoming super-pissed and subpoenas are being issued.

Rather than curse the feeble and hapless Sessions, I’ll be praying for him. He’s a believer so the Lord will work on his heart.
