On Friday, Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to FBI agents about making contact with Russian Ambassador Kislyak during the transition period. In a stunning twist, the Trump White House revealed to CNN that the calls were approved by the Obama administration.
Footage has resurfaced of Obama State Department spokesman Mark Toner saying Flynn contacting foreign governments during the transition poses no issues.

Flynn didn’t do anything wrong when he interacted with Russia.
Flynn did something wrong when he interacted with the FBI. He lied about things he didn’t need to lie about.
I’ve always thought (speculated) that Flynn was asked if sanctions were _mentioned_ in talking to Kislyak, and he told Pence and perhaps the FBI early on - No. But Kialyak brought up the sanctions and Flynn refused to discuss them - ie the reason why he didn’t mention them, since it wasn’t an issue. So it would be a lie that they weren’t “mentioned”, but not a lie that he didn’t discuss them with Kislyak.

Don’t worry, Trump has had this for a long time. You notice that he waited til just after the plea was entered to pop it out? Completely destroys the “Russia” theory!
Besides, why did Flynn need to be told (or ask permission) to contact the Russians if all of Trump’s team had been colluding with them all along?
I can’t remember who I talked too 9 months ago. If part of my job is to talk to 107 people from other governments how can I remember if I talked to the in a 1 month time frame that the FBI is asking about.
I see a pardon in Flynn’s future.

The intent of the law should be followed. If the intent of the law is not followed, then the law is improperly used for a corrupt activity.
If Flynn were to remember some of his training and stand fast, he might be pardoned.
,,,, but lying about it to the FBI is . Amendment #5 won’t work here .
That’s going to give me nightmares. How awful.
