A lie is a lie, and they prosecute who they want, just like they let off who they want. This is why the FBI no longer enjoys public support and confidence. Remember their Hillary investigation? They did not even put her under oath or bring in a court reporter to document the inquiry. This ensures she could never suffer Flynn’s fate, by design. Disgusting.

RICO was signed into law in 1970. Over time it has been amended, numerous times. One of the reasons for so many amendments was that Gotti was able to beat the Feds, every time until Gravano finally snitched. Every time Gotti went to trial, previously, he won and the Feds closed another loophole in the law.
Now, under RICO your landscaper can get rolled into an investigation. Hell, the DEA will issue, Conspiracy Warrants on every single person that calls a drug dealer. And then use, 18USC1001, to charge you when you say you never called them.
Mueller got his scalp. I’d love to see the particulars in this case. Did he plea to a lesser charge? Did he take the plea to save his son? Is this all they could come up with?
I would think that if they want the President, so bad, they wouldn’t be offering any deals, charge everyone, and let them all slug it out in court.
So, POTUS Trump fired Flynn for lying and now he pleads guilty to lying to the FBI. What’s all the hoopla about?

No but he didn’t need to be. Just getting caught in a lie to investigators is a process crime. It’s the same thing that Martha Stewart went to jail for.
No, there’s no way Mueller or anyone associated with him is going to let this “investigation” even inch toward the Clintons, Obama, Holder, Lynch or Mueller himself. I’m just waiting for one person in the US government to stand up and say, “Wait a minute, what about Mueller himself?” And at what point is that very same person going to DEMAND that the FBI - one of the three members of the Intelligence Community, not seventeen - that created this Russia narrative, produce the FISA affidavits used to conduct electronic surveillance on Americans, i.e., the Trump Campaign? When is Mueller going to be asked, “Why did you allow information that the FBI, under your leadership, developed about Russian efforts to secure nuclear materials and bribe US officials to be withheld from the CFIUS committee?”
All of the above and more was requested by Congress months ago and not one person is doing a damned thing about it. They need to just change the FBI acronym to “SS”. It’s like the Bureau does not recognize the oversight authority of the US Congress and like they did during the entirety of the Obama administration, Congress is not willing to assert that authority.
