And potatoes.

Part slavic myself...

Agriculture was a hard life that was practiced pretty much as shown in that pic from its beginnings until very recently. My greatgrandmother, bless her heart, was a stout 4’x5’x4’ and strong as an ox. Hoed potatoes like that couple times a week....Her son used a small tractor but she wielded the hoe.

my simplistic explanation why we have such wimpy young men these days...at least the white ones...

the men go for the skinny women and they expect they'll produce big strong burly football player types?....not happening...

instead, we have a ton of tall, very skinny, types....a good wind could blow them over...imo..
