Raw bits for Garrison.
I was friends with his brother Phil in college at the U of Minnesota years ago. He would often comment on his brother whom he said was “quite different”. Phil died a few years ago from a fall he took on a boating dock in Wisconsin.
Garrison grew up in the tight Plymouth Brethren churches that were small on love and big on rules. Phil and I grew up in the “loose” Brethren circles and there was a world of difference between the two.
From what I gathered, Garrison rebelled against the strictures of his parent’s church and the rest is history.
