It’s difficult to make sure every case comes out positive, but I agree that if they better set some goal - maybe 98% come out ahead, at least in red states. For blue states, I wouldn’t worry as much, although it could cost a handful of Congressional seats.
It just angers me that people here are willing to put a few hundred bucks in more taxes (or whatever amount) as a higher priority than Trump getting anymore conservative Supreme Courts through.
I also agree with you on the wealthy...Trump should play that card. The wealthy mainly hold up their noses to him anyway...and I wouldn’t have any issue making people with AGIs of $500k pay a bit more and those with $1M pay a lot more. For the life of me, I cannot see why a person with that kind of money would have trouble living on, say, $600k per year take home (rather than the $700k or so they have now)...and if they struggle there, it’s your fault or my fault, it is THEIR FAULT.
I agree, and I understand that person’s frustration, but $50 is not worth the Supreme Court.
It will be a major disaster for the GOP with the working class (Trump’s constituency) if the middle class don’t get across the board tax cuts, though. It’s those people who really go to bat for Trump. It’s those people that will feel betrayed if they are let down. They delivered the election to Trump but will go Democrat again if they need to because many also voted for Obama.
