I think they are just allowing more youtubers to get to the launch site. I can’t wait to see him hand his beer to his launch engineer and say, “Hey Ya’all... Watch this.”

Please tell me this guy isn’t serious?

He oughta just use weather balloons and a lawn chair, no rocket needed.
‘Ol Larry Walters did it back in the 1980s and got up to 16,000 feet, much to the surprise of the airline pilots who saw him bobbing around near LAX.

I hate to be dense but how does that prove the Earth is flat, if he was only going to 1800 ft? I climb hills higher than 1800 ft.

Yup. His can gets kicked up to 20 Gs on launch and he becomes like a bug smeared on the windshield.

I don’t believe the Earth is flat but for some reason it doesn’t anger me that other people do. Some people seem to get really mad that these people believe that. What do I care?
To: Simon Green
Let him launch, he’ll be history a few minutes after.

To: Simon Green
At his age, I imagine he’s already dipped into the gene pool. If the story I read was accurate that his ‘ship’ is steam powered, I don’t see him getting more than ten feet from the launch pad.
To: Simon Green
A shame no one was able to convince this dum dum of the fact that 1800 feet is too low to observe the earth’s curvature, let alone prove the earth is flat. On the upside, his subscription to “Modern Luddites” was just automatically renewed for life.
To: Simon Green
Im totally on board with this, tell me when and where, I got lawn chairs and a cooler full of beer.
To: Simon Green
That might also be called “sanity” —if he had any.

A California man who planned to launch himself 1,800 feet high Saturday in a homemade scrap-metal rocket in an effort to prove that Earth is flat Why not simply charter an airplane or buy any airline ticket going anywhere.
