A mother has demanded her six-year-old son's school bans Sleeping Beauty because the princess does not give consent to be kissed.
Sarah Hall, from Northumberland Park, North Shields, claimed the fairytale promotes an 'inappropriate sexual' message to young children.

Well, in high school in 1985, I studied “The Merchant of Venice” for English and my teacher at the time was a Jewish woman. Met her at a high school reunion back some ten years ago and she told me (unimpressed by the decision) that Merchant got banned from the curriculum.
They don’t go around looking for things to be offended by, they are just offended by everything. And yea, their lives are miserable, that’s why they try to spread their misery to everyone else.
In the actual fairy tale, sleeping beauty was raped while she slept. Er...Disney left that part out. :)
