Some NFL owners are considering a change to the league's national anthem policy that would possibly keep players in the locker room when the Star-Spangled Banner is played before football games, according to The Washington Post.
Any policy change would have to be discussed after the season.
“I think that if players are still kneeling at the end of the year, then it could very well happen,” an unnamed source told The Post.

I’d pretty much give up on the 2018 season. Ticket prices will likely slide down to the $8 level, and parking might end up being free by that point.
Treating the symptoms does not cure the issue. This is like painting a termite infested house.
So basically, the entire teams will diss the USA.
How can these fools not get it? We expect the teams — every member thereof — to show respect for the USA. The country that gave them the opportunity to get millions to play a game.
Will we get a locker room Cam while this is happening?

At this point I see this as their only alternative.
Abject surrender. Why not release any player not properly standing during the Anthem. I thought it was already part of their rules.
I think they don’t get it because they don’t want to. They think they are right and the millions and millions of fans are wrong. Until it starts severely hurting their pockets, they will not change.
It’s funny to see owners, who attend every practice, game and other team function, nevertheless be so out of touch.
The horse has bolted. The social contract has been broken. The cultural tide is going out.
Many have decided - or discovered - that life, or at least weekends, without the NFL as the centerpiece is just fine or even more enjoyable, less stressful, etc.
The owners are attempting to fix yesterday’s problem, probably because they fear the problems of today and tomorrow which are more nebulous and insoluble.
They could always dig holes in the sidelines to stick their heads in that way the country can watch them hiding.

Very disrespectful to patriotic team members. If anything it should be a choice to go on the field or to stay back and be Marxist $h!t$.
Any displays of unamericanism on the field should be dealt with, with economic punishment.

an aside comment on local radio yesterday stated that a prominent ticket re-seller was offering tickets for the Redskins Thanksgiving Day game for $7.21 per seat.
Keep the players locked in the locker room during the game.
Have the game played with replacement players!
I’ve not watched a game in over a year. It doesn’t matter what the NFL does at this point, I’m done. Goodell is a hardcore leftist nuff said.
Don’t know about you, but not coming out is worse. It’s not only disrespectful, it’s cowardly.
Mine as well. Starve the NFL into non-existence and then maybe the NFL-aspiring black population will start stepping up in school (this all starts in elementary school) and do something productive with their lives.
