Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro caught speeding at 119 mph

Fox News host Jeanine Pirro was pulled over for speeding in upstate New York after she was clocked going 119 mph in a 65 mph zone.

The New York Daily News reported Pirro was stopped by a state trooper in Tioga County around 1:15 p.m. Sunday.

Pirro, the host of "Justice With Judge Jeanine," said she was on her way to visit her ailing mother but vowed to "pay the consequences."

“I had been driving for hours to visit my ailing 89-year-old mom and didn’t realize how fast I was driving. I believe in the rule of law and I will pay the consequences,” Pirro said in a Fox News Channel statement.

New York's Department of Motor Vehicles says a conviction for going more than 40 mph over the speed limit could put 11 points on a driver's license. Eleven points will lead to a license suspension.

Michigan is actually the largest state east of the Mississippi in land area. People forget about the Upper Peninsula. Most of the roads there are of the two-lane country road variety though.

Hi guy.

Not a thread hijack attempt...

In the Tampa bay area there is a bridge called the Gandy. US 92 is the road.

When people buy a new car (after 3000 miles),they take it on the Gandy. The 3 miles going from St. Pete to Tampa can’t be radared except from the air.

All I’ll say is that 120 mph in a new G37 rocks.

5.56mm

My 4 cylinder camry governs at around 113-115. That girl could go faster. Would love to remove it.

“46 shy of my fastest 165 - Corvette SS

Things you only do once just to see.”

Right. it reminded me of the only time I drove over 100mph. It was in 1973 on Interstate 8 in eastern San Diego County on a newly opened stretch of freeway. There was virtually no traffic to speak of, and it was on a very long downhill grade.

For one thing, short of being unconscious, a driver has to be well aware of driving that fast. For another thing, at least in my Datsun 240Z, I found that the car handled differently, and one had to be highly conscious about keeping the car under control as even the slightest move of the steering wheel could turn into disaster.

I still remember it but wonder why I did such a thing. Wisdom comes with age in most people, apparently not Jeanine who happens to be a favorite of mine.

On the matter of her speed of 119mph, I have to wonder about the accuracy of that, especially if there was even a moderate amount of traffic on that highway.

Ha! Another “Honda-rati” driver heard from.
My 2000 civic would just be moving up to 3rd gear at 119.

In NC speeding 5 miles over the speed limit in a 70 mph zone can yield a citation for reckless driving and immediate suspension of license even on the first offense.

In Virginia they are starting to ticket for 80 in a 70 on route 66. They crack down periodically and right now there is a crackdown. Otherwise in the AM commute there will be a lot of people doing 80-85.

Busted at 72 MPH in a 55 MPH zone there back in the early 90’s, had some outstanding fines and they woke up a judge at 2:00 AM to make me pay up or do time.

That’s felony speeding, most people go to jail for that.

The Little Nash Rambler by the Playmates in 1958.

Known as the Beep Beep Song.

Maybe Judge Pirro couldn’t get the car out of 2nd gear.

If you have the right car, it doesn’t feel like 120. I’ve driven faster than that in Germany, and after a while you get used to it.

“and one had to be highly conscious about keeping the car under control as even the slightest move of the steering wheel could turn into disaster.”

I was on the Autobahn in an Opel sedan a couple months earlier and it started to oscillate at 120kph.

Bsck in the states, the Corvette SS was amazing. I started on a piece of brand new asphalt on the backside of a lake in a remote mid-west state. No population - zero threats except for random wild life.

(sober of course) I hit 165mph gear jamming between 15 and 20 seconds and shut it down.

I have adrenalin issues.

In Arizona felony speeding is going more than 20 mph over the posted speed limit OR in excess of 85 mph anywhere else in the state.

About 5 years ago a coworker of mine was going 25 mph above the posted speed limit on his way to work. He was arrested and his car was impounded. By the grace of God, he was not fired by my company because of his felony speeding ticket.

This happened about five years ago, and 3 years ago my company instituted a new policy: any felony motor vehicle violation will result in immediate termination.

However, although evidence tampering is possible, and it may be dated, the visual evidence on this thread points to a unanimous not-guilty verdict.

Maybe she had been driving in Poland recently. I hear it’s the wild wild west out on the freeways there because it’s all still so new to them. They have a speed limit but no one pays attention to it.
