A Democratic congresswoman says she was sexually assaulted by a “prominent, historical” senator in the 1980s — and “everyone on Capitol Hill knew” that he was a harasser.
“Historical figure, hand kept going up the leg, I took it off. A women member was at the table, recognized what was happening, and said, ‘switch places,'” Michigan Rep. Debbie Dingell told CNN.
“Everybody at my office knew and the minute I was at a social setting someone would move in to protect me so I’d never be alone. He would be aggressive not only towards me, everyone on Capitol Hill knew it.

I agree with your post. She’s “safe” enough to spill the beans; she has lifetime financial security. When it happens to those lower down (faced with ruin) on the food chain, it is hell when you report it.

Someone help me here. I clearly remember a short video clip from several years ago showing Bill Clinton placing his hand on a female Air Force crew member as they were flying on a government plane. Anyone have that video to post?
I’m presuming a Republican Senator would have leaked a lot sooner so here are some prominent Democrat senators from the 1980s who also have been connected to female problems at times.
Ted Kennedy - Massachussetts
Joe Biden - Delaware
Gary Hart - Colorado
Chris Dodd - Connecticut
And just because Ms. Dingle jumped in, I’ll add the Michigan senators - Don Reigle and Carl Levin.

Almost certainly the Senator from Chappaquiddick.
She says a “prominent, historical” Senator and she would “still pay a price” to name him now.
That surely rules out any Republican, and nearly all Democrats. How would she “pay a price” for naming one of the lesser lights of the Democrap Party from 35 yrs ago???? It seems highly likely it is Teddy the Swimmer, and she does not want to be seen as attacking whatever remains of the Kennedy family legacy. Camelot, yeah right....

i dont care about what happened 30 years ago. Hand on the leg, whatever. If someone was outed for a murder or something shocking ok that’s news, but this is boring anymore.
