I struggle explaining this to my sons. Starting in 10th grade the teachers just pound into their heads that if they don't go to college they will be failures. Makes me effing mad. And my effing in laws are just as bad.
Show them your next plumbing bill or car repair bill. Be sure to point out the 3 figure/hour labor charges. Then compare that with an annual salary of 60-80k at a 2,000+ hours worked during a year...
