My first thought exactly: people who loathe their own generative organs, don't "identify" with their own bodies, crave castration, and don't feel "like themselves" until they get their genitals removed, mutilated, and then sewn on again --- I shake my head. Why isn't this *obviously* severe mental illness?
I hope I am compassionate toward them as they manifest this psychosis. But you know what? They are being used.
