A recent thread recommended the
Sentry call screener. I ordered one right away and received it a couple days
ago. Wow. It works so well I thought it must be blocking
all my calls. So I had my son call me. The Sentry put
him right through. It works! What it does, if you haven't
white listed a particular number, is to play a default
recording, or one you make. My recording says if
you're a telemarketer, go away. If you want to speak
to me, press "zero."
Since robocalls aren't human, they won't press zero,
and the call is terminated. Most calls are robocalls.
Ones that aren't only rarely will press zero. My
incoming robocalls have stopped completely.
These had started spoofing local numbers in caller ID so
as to defeat my call blocker. That no longer
works, my friends. I recommend the Sentry.
