Wow, so Sessions is finally going to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the Clintons instead of his own president? Way to go, Jeff - way too little, way too late, and way after you damaged the Trump administration in it’s infancy, but hey, better than not doing it at all.
I believe Dims want this as bad as conservatives. Dims want the Clintons GONE forever and by stepping back and allowing conservatives to go after hill/bill then they get what they want without lifting a hand. Imho, the Clintons have worn out their welcome and they want no part of a hillary run in 2020 which is where it appears to be headed.
If Sessions does go ahead, it’s only because Trump has told him, “You either appoint a SC to investigate the credible charges in Uranium One, the fake dossier, & the pay-to-play at the Clinton foundation.. or you’re fired”.
If Sessiosn doesn’t fear losing his job, he will duck this and say there isn’t enough hear to warrant a SC.
The trap is just about ready to be sprung.
Mueller is also suspect in the uranium deal for running cover for the Obama administration. The reality is that if a special prosecutor is appointed for the uranium deal we would have a case of one special prosecutor investigating uranium sales to the Russians by the Dem administration also investigating another special prosecutor currently investigating alleged Republican administration alleged collusion with Russia to influence an election. Makes for great kabuki theatre.
