Be extra careful of the male lawmakers who sleep in their offices -- they can be trouble. Avoid finding yourself alone with a congressman or senator in elevators, late-night meetings or events where alcohol is flowing. And think twice before speaking out about sexual harassment from a boss -- it could cost you your career.
These are a few of the unwritten rules that some female lawmakers, staff and interns say they follow on Capitol Hill, where they say harassment and coercion is pervasive on both sides of the rotunda.
There is also the "creep list" -- an informal roster passed along by word-of-mouth, consisting of the male members most notorious for inappropriate behavior, ranging from making sexually suggestive comments or gestures to seeking physical relations with younger employees and interns.
CNN spoke with more than 50 lawmakers, current and former Hill aides and political veterans who have worked in Congress, the majority of whom spoke anonymously to be candid and avoid potential repercussions. With few exceptions, every person said they have personally experienced sexual harassment on the Hill or know of others who have.

Roy Moore would be more qualified to serve in the U.S. Senate if the allegations against him turn out to be TRUE.
If there is a “creep list”, being on it is probably entirely subjective.
We cannot have careers ruined based on whether a woman wanted politician or businessman X to hit on her or not.
This is how Obama defeated his primary opponent in the Illinois Senate race. Bunch of nasty $hit spreaders. Timing is crucial.

In DC, if you “go along” with the Establishment agenda, you can do as you please: harass interns, get lobbyists to supply you with women (and whatever) in exchange for your vote or influence. It can be an idyllic time.
Be somebody who refuses to play along, and you get the Roy Moore treatment.
... and they mock Mike Pence for his standards and desire to be “above reproach” in all things relationship-related.
He is about the only one in DC who understands how important it is and has an iron-clad plan on keeping it that way.
Calling politicians creepy seems a bit redundant to me.
If Moore gets elected, he will need to wear a body-cam 24/7, to guard against accusations of harassment by leftist staff.
No kidding.
I want a 24/7 body cam on Gloria Allred... I’d love insider info on the $$ deals she makes with these accusers who always just happen to show up right before elections. Yeah, I know she pays them ($500K was what I thought I read) but proof would be wonderful
Probably because a “creep list” might involve actual libel cases if released. Another dirty little secret: how many are sleeping with said “creeps” to “get ahead” & then calling it “harassment.”
Not victim-blaming here, more like buyer’s remorse. I’m talking about people who change their minds after realizing the grass isn’t as green on the other side of the street after all. The other big problem is much of this stuff comes down to “He said, she said.”
That being said, I’m sure there is quite a bit of sexual hanky-panky going on. Lots of brainy, fit, beautiful people, many of them with substantial means. Does anyone actually think people in their late 20s & early 30s, working crazy hours, heading to the gym on a regular basis, will not have raging animal hormones? And if not grounded in Judeo-Christian values, probably are going to have sexual relations with anything that wiggles?
They don’t “mock” Pence; they are actually angry at him for not playing by their rules. The rule is that to be a member of “the Club” you have to be sexually compromised. That way everybody stays in line and follows the rules. Nobody can step outside the official Uniparty line and actually try to change the elite power structure. All are bound to it by sexual blackmail.
I was in DC early on a weekday morning, and was struck by the number of extremely attractive female joggers there were.
Regarding "buyer's remorse", I think a lot of it might be the woman thinking it would be an advantageous career move, and then gets upset when it doesn't benefit her career.
We need to create a “creep list”, and it needs to go public as the creeps run for reelection. Let’s clean the Swamp out during the primaries.
Creepy RINO? Help a real American to primary him.
Creepy democrat? That’s normal, but still help oppose him in the primary and in the general.
Time to drain the Swamp, including denying them this “perk” of being powerful.
I lived through the so-called Sexual Revolution that started in the Sixties, and am shaking my head at the inevitable fallout. Sensible people got married and avoided the Systematic Inversion of Norms (S.I.N.).
I am reminded now of the old phrase from the Sixties, “What if they held a war and no-one came?”
It now appears that mostly powerful men came to the Sexual Revolution, where they fought on the side of satan.
Project Veritas needs to pay her a visit.
You have worked or are working for the Federal Government. This statement is the absolute truth.
Has the slap gone out of style?
It used to be women would slap men who were getting “fresh” with them. The men didn’t retaliate against the women, because they’d have to explain they were slapped, which always meant they had overstepped and were rude.
Body cams for members and staff. Why not? If it’s good enough for the cops, maybe it’s good enough for the people who write the laws.
The answer is to have them all back in their districts and then record 100% of their conversations
