Following a national surge of sexual assault allegations, the Senate passed a resolution Thursday mandating sexual harassment prevention training for all employees of the Senate, including senators.
The proposal introduced by Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minnesota, and Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and co-sponsored by several other Republicans and Democrats passed unanimously, CBS reported.
Klobuchar said there is widespread support for the resolution, though longer-serving senators had a few complaints.
"(They say) 'Well, I've been here a long time and I've never done anything wrong,'" Klobuchar told NPR. "And I go, 'I'm sure that's true, we just think everyone should do it.'"
The sexual harassment training will need to be completed within 60 days of the resolution's passage and each Senate office must present a certificate of completion to be published on the Secretary of the Senate's website, according to CBS.

The faux outrage in an era that almost all are suppose to be snowflake victims and wilt like weak hot house flowers to be celebrated by everyone. Hypocrisy galore played out in the main stream media.
I don’t think the Senators need training...they’re pretyy good at this sort of thing already.
So who in the Senate are they protecting?
Ted Kennedy was unavailable for comment.
Why , I bet these Senators know all there is about Sexual Harassment
Women who lie about a felony should be prosecuted for the same level of felony punishment.
You beat me to it.
Preemptive, nothing to do with Moore. Something under the surface, IMO. What are they trying to hide?
Like everything Orwellian, this will cause the opposite of what it claims to advance.
Ah yes, remember senators Ted Kennedy and Chris Dodd making a “Waitress Sandwich” in toney D. C. eateries for fun?
I’m ashamed...it was too easy of a target but somebody had to take it.
Nobody does Faux Sanctimony like Congress.
None of those women folks in the Senate is worth harassment.
Good God, is this the only stupid kind of pap this Senate will vote on?
Great, good thing the Senate won’t be driving ships. This will help them do their jobs!
It passed unanimously. This may be the only truly bipartisan action we will see for a long time.
A little feel good symbolism.
Maybe they'll be the trainers.
Bill Clinton wants to attend as a former president. He heard sexual harassment training as thinks its an opportunity to do it faster and more efficiently!
As a federal employee, we took such training once a year, and I have to admit, it was very informative.
Probably just want their merit badges in it.
The women are worse than the men, btw.
