“Wisdom” of Mitch McConnell: “You have to nominate people who can actually win because winners make policy and users go home.”

So Mitch, it appears that YOUR choice ... the globalist, open-borders, Establishment Republican Gillespie is THE ONE TO GO HOME. We’ll have to wait until next month to see how someone who is not your (Mitch’s) choice does. You know Mitch, the man whom you and your allies spent many millions to defeat in his primary—Roy Moore. And you failed, fortunately. And I suspect that next month Roy Moore will be packing his bags for the US Senate where he will be “MAKING POLICY” — while your boy Gillespie is back home and not in Richmond.

The best synopsis of Virginia was what Rush stated today; how could it be a rebuke of President Trump when his agenda wasn’t on the ballot?!

#1: "I hope the NeverTrumpers and GOPe wanabees get the message."

They'll get the message alright. Unfortunately when they do, many of them will try to scuttle the ship. The GOPe/RINO/#NeverTrump crowd are all sore losers, to a one. [Sort of like Miss Danvers in Rebecca.]

I wish the Conservative and Republican candidate for mayor of NYC had done that. She would have brought all the Trump people out of their apartments to vote for her. Instead she actually even said she was sorry she voted for him.

This town is so one-party that both parties stay home. Why bother? But she could have kicked that aside. No balls.

Gillespie is an Establishment pawn of Republican elites. They offered up Gillespie hoping to prove that Establishment Republicans can still win elections. When Gillespie bombed, they immediately shifted to blaming it on the President as a dreadful future omen on the President’s anti-establishment/Deep State agenda. Anyone paying attention, who knew Gillespie’s past, should have known that his campaign strategy was too slick by half. It was nothing more than putting lipstick on an old Establishment pig and it had nothing whatsoever to say about or do with the President’s agenda. And, now I hear the Establishment wants to put Gillespie up for the next Virginia senatorial run as payoff for claiming the Republican permanent loser award. The Establishment nut-jobs just can not believe old two-faced Republican Party politics is dead. What is still taking place a year after the election is a continuing stream of wishful thinking that the President’s appeal is finally over. This meme of condemnation will never cease despite the President’s successes.
