President Trumps nominee to lead the military health system...Dean Winslow, a professor at Stanford University and retired Air Force colonel, made his remarks..."I may get in trouble with other members of the committee just say how insane it is that in the United States of America a civilian can go out and buy a semi-automatic like an AR-15, which apparently was the weapon that was used," Winslow said...Kelley used a Ruger AR-55 rifle to kill 26 and wound more than a dozen...

Being a graduate of the Ivy League in general should disqualify a candidate.
So, by that rationale, we need to ban rental trucks & box trucks which, were the weapons used in NYC & France.
Either of your options works for me. There can be no other.
Maybe this guy should poll the residents of the little town in Texas, especially the lady who was next to be killed before Kelley showed up - the one who told the lady next to her something like, “you’re going to Heaven today”.
“Dean Winslow...retired Air Force colonel...”
I think he needs to lecture the Air Force, that made the slaughter possible, before he turns his criticism to the people of the United States and the second amendment.
Not with Clinton, then Obama.
It was easier to survive as a progressive under the Bushes, than a conservative under Obama.
I don’t recall any limitations on the second amendment.
Who is screening Trump’s appointments?
They are doing a singularly horrible job.
At the same time police are getting heavier and heavier weaponry including armored vehicles politicos are advocating more and more restrictions on civilian weapons choices. What could go wrong?
HEY STUPID IT’S NOT THE FIREARM YA FRICKIN DIPSTICK!!!!
"Kelley used a Ruger AR-55 rifle to kill 26 and wound more than a dozen at the First Baptist Church in Sunderland Springs on Sunday, police said."
Where do I get me one of them there AR-55's?
I’ve seen plenty of jackasses like him rise to the rank or O-6 and higher. It never ceases to amaze me on the shear stupidity of the political class career officers and how they continue to get promoted.
As of Sunday I have been working for the US Air Force for 41 years (still trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up), and my current Squadron Commander (Fighter Weapons Officer) makes some of the most bonehead decisions I have ever seen. He won’t listen to the advice of his 3 staff civilians even though we are all retired USAF Senior NCOs.
In my experience it’s surprisingly common. I served as an Army military police officer, as an MP operations officer and provost marshal. I briefed a lot of senior leadership on law and order issues and in many cases didn’t find a lot of love for the second amendment.
I suspect that when one spends their entire adult life rising through the ranks in leadership and command positions, one becomes accustomed to having a lot of control over the people they lead, and it does not always translate well to the civilian world. For those that came into the military without a lot of experience with firearms, they come to view weapons as something to be locked in the arms room, and issued out under controlled circumstances when necessary. The thought of soldiers having personal weapons in their barracks or quarters is, in their minds, unthinkable.
So he suggests that nobody should have an AR.........Well, what would he suggest if the people that intend to kill hundreds decides that fire or explosives or some other item(s) might be a more “appropriate” tool for the job? Take away guns or “what ever” and people will STILL KILL OTHER PEOPLE by what ever means they can. Yet another so-called “professor” barks up the wrong tree.
Pull this nomination immediately. If not sooner!

This is the face, and the brain, of the deep state. It must be continuously opposed.
To be clear, this bureaucrat is opposed to citizens owning modern firearms. And possibly opposed to citizens owning any weapons of self-defense.
Elected offishuls always think they’re the rulers of the citizens; they should realize we’re their boss not the other way round.
