The other part of the story is yet to be revealed regarding the parents..... This is the reason we've not seen the parents so far. $$$$....they were aware of his shooting on their property...and he lived there....Certainly not hurting for money to get mental health for this wack job!

Interesting that Kelley called his father from his car as he fled to say he didn't think he was going to make it...so he apparently had some form of communication with his parents.

The Kelleys’ (Shooters parents) 3,711-square-foot home sits on 28 acres, according to Comal County tax records. Twenty-six of those acres are designated as native pasture land and receive an agricultural exemption from property taxes, leaving an appraised taxable value of $487,220 for property owners Michael and Rebecca Kelley.

Devin Kelley: Texas shooter killed his wife’s grandma in church massacre

Police have confirmed that Devin Kelley, the gunman who killed 26 and injured 20 in the Texas church mass shooting, also killed his grandmother-in-law in the church.

Lula Woicinski White, a 71-year-old member and volunteer at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, was Mr Kelley’s wife’s grandmother.

Mr Kelley’s in-laws and second wife Danielle were also members of the church, but none were present during the day of the shooting according to police. ...”

Oooh, you can believe daddy is "somebody" there for that place to be valued so low. We're near them with an old falling down house the size of their pool on a small narrow lot that's appraised for just shy of theirs.

I found the parents at http://dilloware.com/about.htm . Dad goes by Mickey. They own Dilloware, a 32 year old computer tax planning application and invoice software company which developed and The Billing Clerk (tm).

The family are A&M alumi. Lived in Ruidoso, NM and El Paso, TX so that's where the link is with the mental institution escape.

Got your fr-mail .... Enough knowing the family appears to have had their issues for some time and ongoing. However it's obvious they knew about their sons history....and more than likely a whole lot more that's not known to the public or media. Unfortunately once a child is of legal age there's not much a family can do. I worked with a gal that spent years dealing with a mentally ill son, .... until he was shot at 23 yrs. old trying to rob a taxi driver. The agony and frustrations the parents and family went through is beyond understanding as they sought treatment for him since the age of ten.

There's quite a few things this property and family remind me of we've seen or heard similarities of before....

People can continue to make sense of why he did so to no avail....and regardless .....the bottom line is he was a violent, abusive, sadistic murderer who went on a killing spree with a mind to deliberately murder men, women and children in cold blood.......and he determined/chose to do so. I do not believe possible this murderer could have been stopped even if all the efforts prior had been successful. He would have continued his path of violence and killing no matter where he was...in or out of jail....on the streets...or in his own back yard.

Yep.....family members all know....and they all suffer on the edge wondering what will be ‘the next’ time or event happening they’ve endured throughout the life of these crack pots.
