Hailed by who?
I like Korean food better.
And French food.
And Spanish food.
And Italian food.
In my opinion, Cajun food is the best on the planet.
When I lived in Japan I had some good food (don’t get me wrong) but I also tried a lot of things that are unpalatable.
It all depends on who is the cook. I have had very good and very bad Korean, Mexican, Italian, Greek, Chinese, Indian, English, German and Filipino food. The best Italian food ever in a restaurant in Marysville, WA. The best Indian food at Bombay Palace in downtown Chicago. The best Greek food cooked by my Greek boss’s wife in Chicago. The best German food at Zum Deutsche Eck in Chicago, the best boned and buttered Perch in a restaurant in Whiting, Indiana, and the best ever steak at my college friend’s parent’s farm in Iowa from a farm raised corn fed cow.
If I was forced to liver rest of my life on just one cuisine, it would be my mother’s cooking in India, where I spent first 20 years of my life. Her stuffed Prawns with freshly grated coconut, Mutton Biryani, fried Pamphret fish, and Gulab Jamuns were to die for. She actually wrote a cook book due to insistence by friends and relatives.
Whoever invented wasabi was seriously sadistic.
