Full title: 'Not his style – never has been': Trump shakes Japanese emperor's hand but doesn't repeat groveler-in-chief Obama's deep bow

President Donald Trump met with Japanese Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko on Monday, sharing a brief handshake eight years after his predecessor became a global laughingstock by bowing deeply before the monarch.

Visiting with the emperor and empress is routine for heads of state visiting Tokyo, and Trump did his part a few hours before a joint press conference with Prime Minster Shinzo Abe, who wields more power than the aging figurehead.

Trump nodded his head slightly, but did not bend at the waist.

An administration official traveling with Trump on his Far East tour told DailyMail.com that bowing is 'not his style – never has been.'

It seems strange to see Akihito as an elderly man. I get a similar feeling when I look in a mirror. 😕

Did you see how the media was making a bit hubaloo about Trump dumping the box of rice into the koi pond, claiming he did it like a big uncultured Galoof....

Well unless you see the RAW video evidence of Prime minister Abe DOING it FIRST that CNN had CROPPED out in a deceptive editing maneuver...

I’ll be surprised, if certain people, don’t claim that Pres. Trump, was disrespecting a man of color, because he didn’t take a knee.

[ MacArthur handled the Japanese brilliantly.

He certainly did. A better situation for post-war Japan is impossible to imagine. The perfect man for the job and he performed it to perfection. ]

Well and we didn’t brow beat the Japanese to death with the guilt because we needed them as a bulwark against Russia and communism that was emerging from china, Mac knew this and he knew the Japanese very well, sun tzu and all that.

This is all nice but Japanese Emperors haven’t had any real power for hundreds of years. Even the influence they did enjoy at times as waned today.

Watch the Presser Q&A with Japan. Trump was on point! He’s really hitting it hard with trade. If he had the support of the other leaders who are supposed to be looking out for the citizens it wouldn’t even be close, the country would be a roaring lion!

Hey, ya gotta remember, obama is used to bending over..........for everyone because his preferred position is catcher! The sad thing about him, among a great many is that he dragged all of America into the catcher position for eight years.

You can rest assured both of those people standing in front of Obama had him pegged from that moment forward. Heck, they probably knew what an incompetent he was long before this moment. Talk about a bumpkin...

McArthur’s political advisor Max Bishop was the brains behind America’s meaningful and constructive US occupation policies. Examples: Preserving the Emperor; the symbol of the Japanese People & Drafting an effective Constitution.

To be “fair”, Uncle Tom Obama played the role for which he was prepared.

“...for which he was prepared” AND for which he was endlessly promoted and for which he was hired.

Trump didn’t bow, but he leaned over and whispered “Remember that ass-kicking whooping we gave you guys way back when?”

“Obama might as well have gotten down to lick the emperor’s shoes.”

Because it reminded him of his earlier days as a “Shoe Shine Boy!”

Both of these ladies look beautiful. Melanie is so elegant, youthful, and erect. Japan’s empress looks regal, and I love her outfit. Perfect for a lady of her age.

At least Obama didn’t “bow, bow, to the daughter-in-law elect.”
