Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) told Breitbart News on Wednesday that he and other House Judiciary Committee Republicans had met with Sessions at the Justice Department on September 28 in advance of an upcoming committee hearing with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein later this month.

Gaetz said that when he asked Sessions to appoint a special counsel to investigate the 2010 Uranium One deal and Fusion GPS, the attorney general stood up, said he could not discuss the matter because he had recused himself, and walked out of the room, leaving them with a group of Rosenstein staffers “who showed no interest.”

Jeff Sessions was The Swamp’s emergency plan.

On the 1% chance, at the time, that Trump would be elected President, Jeff Sessions was sent in to pretend to be on his side.

When Trump got elected, Jeff was right there, ready to take any important position that would maximally sabatoge Trump’s Presidency.

Imagine Jeff’s joy when he got the one position — Attorney General — that could do the most good for the Globalist Elitists and Republican / Democrat establishment.

There is video of Sessions agreeing to recuse himself from anything to do with Hillary Clinton. The Uranium deal involves her, so he had no choice but to recuse himself.

The sticking point is Grassley. He has vowed not to confirm a replacement for Sessions, should Trump fire him. If somehow Trump can get Grassley on board, then Sessions needs to be gone in a New York minute.

A southern gentleman. Isn’t he awesome? He doesn’t scare people or ever make anyone upset.

Oh well, he isn’t that bright anyway. Ever hear him talk? He sounds nearly as mentally stunted as Bush.

Dear Jeff . . . Time to man-up. Take one for the team and get out of Dodge

Problem is . . . a new Attorney General will not/can not be appointed until around March next year. In the the meantime Rosenstein. And he too no friend of USA and President Trump.

Not sure what the problem is with FBI Director Christopher Wray.

Jeff Sessions is leaving the President to fight all the battles without any backup is what I’m thinking. Completely useless.

In a day when the AG has opportunity to do a daily arrest and indictment of politicians, lobbyists, terrorists, anarchists, racketeers, molesters, arms dealers, and a host of associated crime critters, Mr Sessions can be found hiding behind the curtains in his bedroom.

Whoa whoa cowboy . . . same article also states . . .

Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores said others in the room do not remember Sessions saying anything like that and that the subject was “discussed.” She would not comment on whether Sessions has recused himself.

“I’ve talked to people who were in the room and they don’t remember him saying anything like this. The subject was discussed so maybe someone misconstrued what he said. I can’t comment on recusal issues though because to do so would confirm or deny the existence of an investigation,” she said in a statement to Breitbart News.

totally convoluted, following disgusting

So where is the required letter of recusal to the DOJ staff?

Here is the only statement of recusal he has made and it says nothing about this issue.

Attorney General Sessions Statement on Recusal

Attorney General Jeff Sessions today issued the following statement:

“During the course of the confirmation proceedings on my nomination to be Attorney General, I advised the Senate Judiciary Committee that ‘[i]f a specific matter arose where I believed my impartiality might reasonably be questioned, I would consult with Department ethics officials regarding the most appropriate way to proceed.’

“During the course of the last several weeks, I have met with the relevant senior career Department officials to discuss whether I should recuse myself from any matters arising from the campaigns for President of the United States.

“Having concluded those meetings today, I have decided to recuse myself from any existing or future investigations of any matters related in any way to the campaigns for President of the United States.

“I have taken no actions regarding any such matters, to the extent they exist.

“This announcement should not be interpreted as confirmation of the existence of any investigation or suggestive of the scope of any such investigation.

“Consistent with the succession order for the Department of Justice, Acting Deputy Attorney General and U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia Dana Boente shall act as and perform the functions of the Attorney General with respect to any matters from which I have recused myself to the extent they exist.”

I posted this comment about Sessions back in July: “I once dreamed of getting an important, high-paying job. And then recusing myself from the duties of the job. Then I woke up. I guess you could say that Sessions is living my dream. I wish he’d wake up.” Worth repeating.

Who is the DOJ second in command and would he/she/it be worse than Sessions at the helm?

That makes about as much sense as when Obama left a Navy 3 star intel officer in place after his security clearance had been revoked. If true, Sessions needs to go.
