The Johnson Amendment didn't say Churches can't speak up on political issues, it said they would lose their tax-exempt status if they turn political. Wrong. They would lose their 501(c)(3) status, not their tax exempt status. Not the same thing.

As I understand it that is not presently against the law. Thou shalt not kill is still in the Bible and it is part of the whole counsel of God.
That is not the ONLY message for the preacher though . . . “For whosoever shall call upon the Lord shall be saved” is also an integral part of the preacher’s task - assuming he believes it. Many so-called ‘ministers’ do not even know that is in the Bible.
