The pollster for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign said he believes Bernie Sanders could have won the 2016 election had he won the Democratic nomination instead of Hillary Clinton.
Asked during an event at Harvard University who would have prevailed in a race between Sanders and Trump, Tony Fabrizio said: “I think Sanders beats Trump,” The Hill reported.
“I think Sanders would have had the ability to reach a lot of the less than college-educated, low-income white voters,” he said at the event for the Harvard University Institute of Politics on Monday evening.
Writing in “What Happened,” Clinton’s memoir about the election, she blamed Sanders, a Vermont independent, for attacking her with “innuendo” and said he did little to help her rally progressives after she won the nomination.
Fabrizio said the contest between Trump and Clinton was one for the ages.
“There’s no question that if it had been anybody other than Clinton or anybody other than Trump, that race would not have been as close as it was either way,”

There are two fictions which have been rolling around forever.. One is that there’s some random majority that wants free stuff, the other is that US citizens born elsewhere favor illegals. Both are accepted as true by far too many people, and both have never been supported by a single honest poll.

They all voted for Hillary. Se won the female vote which Sanders would not have won. It would have been a much more principled campaign without the character assassination common to Clinton politics. No grabbing pu**y"; No "Russia collusion," no "lock her up." It would have been a more cerebral, genteel campaign.
I think so too and i rub it in to all my leftist friends that he would have won if hillary dint steal the nomination how could you idiots let tbat happen
I think Bernie would have been a much more formidable candidate for two reasons.
1) No matter what you think of his whacked-out politics, most people genuinely seem to like the guy. Conversely few people inspire such gut-wrenching dislike as Hillary.
2) He would have floated a serious proposal for HUGE student loan forgiveness. This in my view is the biggest danger to our ability to pull the country to the right. SO many people are in SO much hock over getting a degree that any serious proposal to forgive this debt will create a massive turnout for that candidate. Including some from surprising sources.
I agree that Sanders would have stolen enough WI-MI-PA white votes to win. Not sure about OH.

Look no further than the primary.
Candidate Trump took on and destroyed 15 other candidates.
Some just couldn’t stand on the same stage with him, his personality was just too bright and forceful for them.
The ones who were matched against him on the “A” stage he systematically defeated one by one.
From “low energy” Jeb to “sweaty, small hands” Rubio and “lying” Ted he designed his campaign to beat each one.
The Clinton Crime Family has been around for a while. There was enough dirt on them that even democrats couldn’t get excited about Pickles.
Everyone knew about Bill’s rape and assault victims.
People found out about the little girl that was raped and Hillary not only successfully defended the rapist but laughed about knowing he was guilty.
When Trump had that girl, now a woman, and four of Bill’s victims at the debate was Pickles “Willie Horton Moment”.
Candidate Trump took Hillary out by pounding away with constant body shots.
One Trick Pony Sanders would have crumpled before the second debate. The Trump campaign would have every grain of dirt Bernie tried to hide.
A Sanders presidency would have been a godsend to Obama, it would have moved him to #2 on the worst president list. Sanders, as President, would have been a disaster for the USA.
If this is true then the USA has become California.
Sander’s is a nut who would have lost worse then Hillary, although he should have won the nomination.

I have a female friend who is a big leftist teacher and she refused to vote for the Hag because of Bill and that whole mess. She hates Trump’s guts, knows history and the failures of socialism and will agree with you that it doesn’t work but wanted to try it here with Sanders. She is a work in progress, I have got her to swing on the second amendment finally to pro-gun.
