If only Manafort, or Manafort and a couple of low level associates, are indicted, does that still mean the movie-fantasy is real?

Truthfully, I don't know. What I do know, is that someone like me, an avowed atheist, somehow has found faith. Not in the supernatural, but in the belief that Trump is one of those historic, seminal figures.

They exist throughout history, whether it is Julius Caesar, Charlemagne, William (the Bastard), Cromwell, Washington, Lenin, Hitler, Mao, et al. It doesn't matter if they are evil or good, but rather, do they change the course of history?

Something has got to happen here. The republic simply cannot withstand the constant onslaught of corruption and criminality. Either Trump is a genius and we will all enjoy the breaking of bonds and resumption of liberty, or he's ensnared. At this point in time, I'd prefer to entertain thoughts of the latter, even if it's blind faith.

If it's otherwise, then my bad, and it's back to the deathwatch of the republic.
