Trump Calls For Prosecution Of Democrats After Reports Of Indictments In Russia Probe
The Washington Examiner ^ | 10/29/17 | Kyle Feldscher

Posted on 10/29/2017 11:10:25 AM PDT by Enlightened1

President Trump responded to reports that special counsel Robert Mueller is about to indict people in his investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election by pointing the finger at Democrats.

Trump said the investigation into whether his campaign colluded with the Kremlin is “phony,” “bad for our country,” a “witch hunt,” and “evil politics.”

He added the news that Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee paid for the unverified dossier alleging scandalous behavior by Trump has united Republicans.

“Never seen such Republican ANGER & UNITY as I have concerning the lack of investigation on Clinton made Fake Dossier (now $12,000,000?), the Uranium to Russia deal, the 33,000 plus deleted Emails, the Comey fix and so much more,” Trump tweeted.

“Instead they look at phony Trump/Russia, ‘collusion,’ which doesn't exist. The Dems are using this terrible (and bad for our country) Witch Hunt for evil politics, but the R's are now fighting back like never before. There is so much GUILT by Democrats/Clinton, and now the facts are pouring out. DO SOMETHING!”

“Trump calls for prosecution of Democrats”? Really? All he has to do is say the word — give the order.

“6. And he STILL has cover cuz half the GOP and all the D STILL think he’s “investigating Trump.”

Judging from the posts at FR I’d put the number closer to 90%. Gonna be a lot of surprised people...

This is a wonderful fantasy but it’s a fantasy.

They released this indictment news to get Hillary/DNC/Dossier off the front page for the weekend shows. Do you think it’s coincidental timing? Of course not. Nothing in politics is coincidence.

They’ve probably had enough to indict someone on Trump’s team for a long time and were holding on to it until they NEEDED to change a narrative.

““Jeff Sessions has been on this from day 1.”
I see no evidence of that.”

Sessions doing Nothing is the Evidence. You don’t ‘See” nothing.”

So let me make sure I have you right:
If Sessions is doing nothing, that’s evidence of Sessions doing something since you don’t see nothing

Do I have that right?

“I have read across the web where a lot of people now think A.G. Sessions is either gutless because he is scared of the Clintons or compromised by the Deep State.”

and if it’s on the internet it’s gotta be true!~

Trump shouldn’t trust anyone who has lived or worked in Washington before his inauguration. I don’t think a single one of them can be trusted- D or R.

I don’t know why he’s doing it. But please admit Trump hired him.

Fair enough.... Have just finished reading through your comments of what is going on and hence what is likely to happen next. Here is what I don't get as far as how it fits into your general thesis.... - Aren't Mulehead and Comey supposed to be as close as a couple of peas in a pod? Or is that just smoke and mirrors? Where does Comey fit into this as far as what's coming down the pike? - If the intent never was to go after Trump but after the Podestas, Clinton and Zero, how does that fit with the observation that Mulehead filled out his stable of lawyers with ones that have serious connections to the DemonRats? That doesn't seem to fit that narrative, does it? Or does that statement demand a bit more scrutiny? Thanks for your thoughts on this....

I'm afraid you are going to be very disappointed tomorrow. Manafort and maybe 2 of his associates will be arrested tomorrow, neither of the Podestas will be touched. Mueller's only task is to run interference for the deep state. Until Mueller is fired, this “investigation” serves only to protect the Clinton crime family.

When Trump interviewed him the day before he was named Special Counsel, Trump had one principal question: “Are you willing to serve your country and take this wherever it leads, including the Clintons?” Obviously Mueller passed the interview.

Are you suggesting that Trump interviewed Mueller and approved his appointment as special counsel, rather than Mueller being appointed by Rod Rosenstein?

“What he did not expect was Sessions immobilizing himself with a recusal.”

Or maybe Trump and Sessions planned that recusal long before the election. And planned how they would do it, so that when they went after an extremely high profile criminal it could not be dismissed as the dangerous precedent of prosecuting a political rival.

People remember Trump telling Hillary “you’d be in jail!” during one of the debates. Most believe that it was just talk or only a laugh line. They never remember what he said right before it:

“If I win I’m going to instruct my attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation, because there has never been so many lies, so much deception, there has never been anything like it. People have been... their lives have been destroyed for doing one fifth of what you have done. And it’s a disgrace, and honestly you ought to be ashamed of yourself.”

Well Trump did win. And there is a special prosecutor. It’s not a coincidence and it didn’t happen by accident. We will soon see if Mueller is a Democrat/Deep State hatchet man out to destroy Trump. Or if he is a patriot who knows that we cannot survive if criminals and traitors are allowed to control one of our major political parties.

Trump’s words were not sleight of hand. They were the words of abject frustration.

I agree
There is NO behind the scene secret plan by Sessions and the rest of the GOP

Trump is completely frustrated by the lack of support from the wimpy GOP

Wouldn't be surprised if thoughts of packing it in don't cross his mind

Someone in the President’s circle covertly threatened Mueller and implied he’d receive a Presidential pardon for doing the right thing? If so, and it could be tied to the President, it would be a criminal offense. I don’t think so.

“neither of the Podestas will be touched”

There’s been a lot of speculation that they could be indicted...The only way I could see that happening is if Mueller and team need to stifle further investigations into the Podestas, especially the Pedo angle & any dirt that would lead back to the Clintons. Hat tip-Zeneta

So Mueller, who has been a deep state hack his entire career and deeply involved in the Russian uranium transfers, suddenly finds religion and decides to do the honorable thing? That simply defies credibility.

That question has nagged me. Mueller in the beginning, may have gotten immunity with a get out of jail free card signed by Trump and Sessions for any wrongdoing in the Uranium One deal. This way they run their elegant game on the Deep State by fooling everyone.

I would like to know how anyone, who was not in the room, would know what Trump asked Mueller. Sorry, not buying that scenario.

That is a good prediction. However, Firing Mueller would be radioactive. The press has been longing for something like that since Watergate. Do you recall the brouhaha over Frederica Wilson and Trump’s supposed disrespect of the Gold Star wife? That wouldn’t be a ripple on the lake compared to the typhoon that would erupt if Trump fired Mueller.

Here is my dream scenario. Mueller indicts Manafort and a couple of low level individuals for something that predates Trump’s campaign. Trump instantly fires Rosenstein. He says it’s bc Rosenstein’s job was to contain the investigation to Russian collusion, and Rosenstein failed utterly and miserably.

The press would still go bonkers but the man on the street would get it. It truly was an abusive witch hunt, and the party responsible for letting it get totally out of control got what was coming to him.

That would serve two purposes. It would finally get Sessions’ attention, and it would push Mueller to do something stupid. Mueller relies on Rosenstein to make his ooen-ended mandate work. With that mainstay kicked out from under him, Mueller would be furious and out for revenge. But going after it without Rosenstein’s cover would be a prescription for disaster—and for once it will be Mueller who runs out of options.

If that would protect the Clintons/deep state then yes, I could see that happening.

Trump interviewed Mueller as a prospective replacement for Comey. The interview had nothing to do with the Special Counsel appointment.
