Yes, bring back the “Jeep Carrier”. A squadron of several could be tailored to the mission. Don't retire the fleet carrier but not all missions require a Queen of the sea's and the survivable of a carrier fleet could be increased with several jeep carriers as it nucleus without reducing it capabilities.

I think Number 3: CV-LX is the best one. Not as a replacement for the super-carrier but as supplemental to it.

Something the Size of an America-Class Assault ship would be perfect for a smaller strike group, you can have good ships and a decent number of them as the Burkes and Virginia subs show.
