In the fine print (that CNN doesn't talk about) every single one of these climate treaties is nothing more than a massive cash grab funded by the United States, either through direct monetary loans (to pay for the rising sea levels "we" caused), purchasing "carbon credits" from Africans living in mud huts, or by hobbling our economy by complying with rules that only apply to us so that the rest of global manufacturing can catch up.
Either way, these agreements have zip to do with solving made-up climate "crises" and everything to do with transferring wealth from the United States to the rest of the world.
And would have been ignoring it anyway, although the press would not then consider it worthy of reporting.
Follow the money.
And the US money just picked up and walked out the door.
A rather imfamous bank robber was asked why he robbed banks. His reply” “That’s where the money is”.
People will be laughing at warming alarmists shortly as the Eddy Solar Minimum takes hold on the world.
Since Pres. Trump pulled USA out of Paris Agreement, remaining members probably no longer see the Agreement as a cash cow.
Corrections, insights welcome.
“Since we’re not footing the bill anymore...”
Would’ve been my comment exactly.
The cash cow has left the building.
“Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is one of the only signers of the Paris agreement who is actually abiding by the exacting demands of the accord.”
Nice going Canada, Your voters are almost as stupid as those who elected Obama rwice.
The libs said that by abandoning the agreement, Trump lost the leadership of the world on climate change. Evidently, he is the leader.
It was a money grab but now there is no money. They are communists in a global warming disguise. Watermelons.
Great post.
My favorite part of the article is where Germany had several days with no wind and had a thick fog, couldn’t produce needed energy and had to get some coal powered energy from Poland.
The US never “committed” to anything. Obama only did for himself, he had no power to commit the U.S.
I can say I’m taking pleasure in the “loss” these pompous, sanctimonious fools are experiencing.
