The national origination for introducing kids to flight is Young Eagles. The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) sponsors it. I’m a YE pilot and ground crew volunteer. It’s loads of fun and any can volunteer as you don’t need to be a pilot to help out.

Young Eagles is a good program, but where it falls apart is following up with these kids later on, to find the interested ones.

I coul go on about this forever.

There’s also this organization called, “Civil Air Patrol.”

Just a polite reminder, folks.
