The suspect description, “corpulent, blond-haired, volatile”, hardly seems to fit the usual profile of a Muslim. A German off his meds might be more likely.
German cops report that it’s NOT a migrant. It’s a guy who’ve they’ve detained in the past for theft and drunken behavior.
Compared to twenty years ago, I’d say that violent behavior is occurring more often today. Some of this is related to drug usage, and some to serious alcohol consumption.
