If these Hollywood “stars” are not armed themselves (and many are)they have heavily armed bodyguards following them around where ever they go. Hypocrites...
There’s a good word.
May have to look up a few of my old buddies and see if we still have our ‘Droog’ outfits from playing a Halloween show.
How many incidents of violence were there in the Coyote and Roadrunner cartoons? Bugs Bunny? We’re pretty much talking about the same thing.
Hollyweird produces drama, which involves conflict, which often leads to violence. That is what they sell. Much as as I despise Hollyweird, I am not going to take them to task for selling product which has a large number of eager consumers. They are a bunch of hypocrites and deviants, but this isn’t the avenue to pursue this.
I turn on the tv at 6pm to watch some comedy show and they have a very violent commercial for a movie. Usually some girl or women being terrified with a killer waving around a knife or gun.
It goes back to when Bobby Kennedy was murdered by a Palestinian immigrant. In the anti-gun hysteria that followed, TV shows dumbed down to kiddie shows, toy guns disappeared from the market, pulp magazines and books went to less lurid covers.
Only the movies got a “pass” as they promised to “police themselves” with a joke of a ratings system. Before that you could drop off the kids at any show and there would be no problems. After that, the movies re-shot scenes to add more blood and sex to get the coveted new “R” rating.
Some even went for the “X” rating, and in their advertisement posters claimed...SO BOLD It Is Rated “XXX”! Then they aimed the advertisements and trailers at underage teens.
