Single engine allows the F-16 to be leaner and mean and agile as all heck. If I'm going to climb into a bird, I WANT TWO ENGINES so it's F/A-18 for me.

I think most of us agree America's fighter jets are menacing in appearance, maybe with the exception of the F-35 bathtub but the pilots allegedly love that aircraft but menacing-looking it is not.

The SR-71 reconnaissance aircraft STILL makes my jaw drop when I watch old videos. The blackbird is a design feat unequaled, IMO. Working out the thermal dynamics, fuel expansion allowances, etc., still boggles my mind. HOW WE TRICKED THE USSR INTO GETTING TITANIUM FOR THIS PROJECT is one of the all time greatest stories. One of America's greatest aviation achievements!!!
