I look at it this way, Obama was the first Black President, and it may well be decades before another Black is elected to the Presidency, The demoncraps could barely control him, you really think they’ll take that chance any time soon?

Bush left us with the worst economic downturn since Herbert Hoover. His Iraq invasion set the Middle East on fire, led to the genocide of Iraq’s Christians, and empowered Iran. His spending led to unprecedented deficits and debt. His open borders policy helped turn California into a blue state. It’s unbelievable there are still Bush sympathizers on freerepublic. Worst RepublicanPresident ever. And one of the worst of either party

I remember that because it smacked of insider BS at the time. I was sketpical of Bush and his "compassionate conservatism" which sounded like he was slamming people like us as evil. And I was apparantly not alone because Rush felt compelled to come on and do some damage control for Bush. But as I recall it, he told us (paraphrasing) "I met with W and he's really conservative but, well, you know, he just can't say it for various reasons but in pravate, well, just trust me! He's way more conservative than you know!"
Then a couple of years later after a humiliating loss for the GOP Rush told us he was now done carrying water for RINOs. So yeah, he was spinning.
