Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley holds a slight lead on U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill in a race that could decide control of the U.S. Senate, according to a new poll from a GOP-leaning firm.
Hawley, the top Republican recruit for the race, leads McCaskill, the Democratic incumbent, 48 percent to 45 percent, according to a poll of 965 likely Missouri voters. The remaining 7 percent of voters were undecided.
Hawley’s lead falls within the margin of error of plus or minus 3.05 percentage points. The poll was conducted by Remington Research Group, a firm affiliated with Republican strategist Jeff Roe, on behalf of Missouri Scout between Oct. 11 and 12.

What kind of Republican is Hawley?
If she is the incumbent polling below 50% she could be in trouble, although way too early to tell.

Any democrat on a Trump state in 18 is in trouble.... look at the map, Dems are going to lose seats in the senate in 18... map is massively agaiandy them.
First, I don’t believe polls any more. Second, if this result is indeed the status in Missouri, watch for McCaskill dirty tricks to once again surface — i.e. last minute revelations of a Hawley mistress or some sexist statement. And of course, it will be too late to be shown to be false. That’s the McCaskill and Dem way.

‘Ma’ doesn’t seem to like to mention it now, but she was Hillary’s biggest cheerleader for some time. Unless the Republican makes an incredible blunder like last time (she actually ran ads for her Republican opponent during the primaries) she should be toast. Hope so anyway.
